Introduction

                                                                         waking––
                                                        sound of snow
                                                                             on water

Although haiku’s sensibility comes to us from another time its gifts are truly revealed when we bring ourselves fully into the present, and into presence. I believe that we need its gentle spirit in our lives today.

The work here is an offering beyond poetry, into imagery, music, and video. I hope that this work can awaken peace, that it opens doors that may have drifted closed, stirring corners of awareness that have languished in neglect.

Like snow on water, may its quiet transformations be healing to all.
